Dry, dehydrated, sensitive, oily, acne prone, irritated, aging, what types of skin combinations do you have? Let's talk about face oil! First and for most, Chloemason face oils are 100% plant based oil product. This means there is not a drop of water in the bottle. It is made for face that need support in different compositions of fatty-acid rather than just an everyday, water based moisturizer. This Spring, Chloemason introduced two types of face oils / serum at the online store that supports many types of skin issues: Simply Beautiful & Naturally Beautiful. Both oils are all natural and free of chemicals, fragrances or paragons. They are truly simple and nutritious for your facial skin and body! Simply Beautiful Facial and Body Serum If you have an acne prone, breakout prone, oily, combination skin but still needs extra nutrients and balance the oil production on your skin, give SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL a shot. With careful blend of oils ( cold pressed grape seed, safflower, and red raspberry seeds) , herbal oils, and essential oils, this face and body serum is easy and fast to absorb. Here are the oils we love: Grape seed Oil: With high in linoleic acid and antioxidant profile, grape seed oil is a nutrient powerhouse internally and externally. Safflower Oil: This light oil is added with combating acne skin, clog pores, and redness skin in mind. It is an ideal oil to improve the texture of skin and promote elasticity. Red Raspberry Seed Oil: The cold pressed luxury seed oil from red raspberry is highly moisturizing for damaged skin and rich in vitamin values. This oil also has natural potential SPF of 20-58, which many times it is include in the natural SPF products. To find out more about Simply Beautiful. Click on the link for additional information. Naturally Beautiful Facial and Body Serum This is a luxury oil made with dry and damaged skin in mind! In this past winter, my facial skin has gotten so dry... my face, especially on my cheeks, feels rough like sand paper. Thanks to the winter cold and dry Texas weather. None the less, I was looking and researching to make a facial oil at that time to sooth this weather related irritation on my skin. At first, I made a water + oil body moisturizer... which did not work. Though I purposely alter the recipe thats heavy on oil and butter ( usually, a typical water based moisturizer is 60-90% water and emulsified with oil base ), my skin is still dry. Why? The water (H) in moisturizers are actually pulling out the hydrogen in my skin!! So here is the face oil that SAVED my winter: Naturally Beautiful Facial and Body Serum Avocado Oil: one of the highly recommended plant oil for mature and dry skin. High in oleic acid, improves skin appearance, and last but not least, enhance wound healing. Golden Oat Oil: A luxurious, deep golden oil that extracted from kernel of oats. With high content of antioxidant and fatty acids, it is a beautiful, natural skin emollient. It has a very gentle scent of oats!! Camellia Oil: This is an ancient East Asian skincare oil that is rich in oleic acid and omegas. It is not only the perfect skin oil, in the old days, it is also an oil to promote hair health! The oil protects skin from free radicals ( in the environment ) due to its antioxidant. We add this oil for purpose of anti-aging. To find this oil, visit this Link! So there you go, my choices of oil for different types of skin combinations. Until next time... we will discuss face cleansing + CLAY! Sharon This is a super easy cleaning hack for busy moms!! All you need is a kitchen soap from Chloemason, water, and get washing.
I used a fairly used, dirty mop head from my Shark cleaning mop. There is always this grey spot that i can't get rid of. So here it is, wet the stain spot, rub the dry kitchen soap ( coffee or no coffee ) on the stain and well coated the spot, give it a rinse either in the sink or in the wash machine. There, let the stain be gone! Try the tough stain like ketch-up or soy sauce... you will love this little hack with my kitchen soap!! p.s. Here is where you can find the kitchen soaps( with or without coffee) : https://www.chloemasonsoapcompany.com/store/c4/Home.html Shampoo? shampoo bar? conditioner? and acidic rinse? What do you really need for your hair? Lately, I have helped and answered many many questions in regards of how to wash your hair and keep your hair and scalp healthy!
First and for most, if you have been using shampoo from bottles, take another look at the ingredients that are listed on the back. Are there emulsifiers? chemical that make bubbles? fragrances? preservatives? Are they labeled as "PH Balance" shampoos? I would like to think the main purpose of shampoo is to cleanse our hair and scalp. ( P.S. If it is a "true soap" in the shampoo bottle, it is always more alkaline than PH Balanced. ) No matter if you have long or short hair, you want to wash them as 'natural' as possible. All the chemicals, preservatives, color or fragrances that are listed on the bottle will be absorbed by your skin and hair, and some, becomes build up over time. I have been use soap bars as my daily shampoo since Day 1 when my beer shampoo bar was introduced. Beer has load with nutrients, complex vitamins and enzymes that are suitable for a gentle, cleansing hair wash. It will not leave your hair smell like beer. Instead, the bar has a light, sweet, floral scent PLUS the essential oils we use. For example, the Rosemary Raw Honey Shampoo Bar has a hint of herb from rosemary ( which stimulates hair growth ) and sweetness from mint and orange. The beer shampoo soap is super bubbly from the sugar and honey ( not SLS or any chemically made bubblers!). The soap bar shampoo helps to clean your hair follicles by swell and open up the cells, and truly cleanse the dirt, build up and unwanted oil on your hair and scalp. After using shampoo bar, we always recommend an acidic rinse for your hair. We suggest use this mixture 2-3 times weekly to keep your hair and scalp refreshed and healthy. You can consider the acidic rinse mixed with natural lemon juice or apple cider vinegar. You can make them as 1 : 1 mixture of water : lemon juice ( or apple cider vinegar ) in a squeeze bottle. I make them as needed, so it is in a small plastic cup. IMPORTANT: For the Herbal ACV {concentrate} rinse will need to be diluted in ration of ACV: Water :: 1/2tbsp (to 1 tbsp) to 8 oz of water Here is a typical hair washing routine : 1. Wet your hair throughly, 2. Take a shampoo bar and rub against your hair until there are enough bubbles to give it a massage, 3. Rub, massage, and rinse off all the shampoo, 4. Pour acidic rinse on your hair as needed, 5. Give your hair and scalp an acidic rinse massage while the mixture is still in your hair, 6. Rinse and wash throughly with water, 7. Pad, dry, and style as usual. P.S. To switch from bottle --> bar soap, it takes about 5-10 days to transition. Use this acidic rinse receipt to help you transition easier over time. WHAT ABOUT THE ... CONDITIONER?? I haven't used a bottle conditioner just about... forever. The acidic rinse i use through out the week has already helped manage any issues in my hair. While the hair follicles has been opened by the true soap ( an alklined shampoo bar), the acidic rinse helps to close and smooth the hair shaft......hence it feels smooth and looks shinning! The bottle conditioners is NOT an acidic rinse. It often has additives in them that makes your hair feel silky. This is only a temporary effect. You can condition your hair from time to time (or daily) by using drops of hair loving oils, like sesame oil, camellia oil, rose hip or even jojoba oil plus your favorite essential oil. These quality, plant based oils will truly " condition " your hair!! I use other soap than just beer soap for my hair, such as salt soap ( for loose, volume cleanse ), or soap with clay and high content of olive oil ( if your hair gets oily and greasy easily). Chloemason Soaps are made with "head-to-toe" wash concept. Here are some of the suggestions: Salt Soap, for volume, Himalayan Pink Salt Lemongrass Shampoo Bar : https://www.chloemasonsoapcompany.com/store/p82/Himalayan_Pink_Salt_Lemongrass_Soap%2C_Shampoo_Bar.html Super Conditioning Soap, Honey Sesame & Chamomile Coconut Milk Soap: https://www.chloemasonsoapcompany.com/store/p91/Honey_Sesame_%26_Chamomile_Coconut_Milk_Soap..html Oily Hair that Needs Cleansing + Conditioning: https://www.chloemasonsoapcompany.com/store/p108/Gold_Leaf_Olive_Oil_Soap.html Well rounded Bubbly Beer Shampoo: https://www.chloemasonsoapcompany.com/store/p57/Rosemary_Raw_Honey_Beer_Shampoo_Bar.html Let me know how it goes! Always feel free to email or message me if you run in to issues with our products or made a new milestone! We can't live without boo boo sticks in the house......
This oily journey took off in summer of 2016, when Chloe came home from daycare with tons of chigger bites at the panty line area. Of course, I freaked out!! We had many tubes and jars of bug bite oinment at home before, but none of them worked on chigger bites. It was so itchy that Chloe would scratch till bleed. I had already start to make balm and soaps then, and there came another challege from my kids: what can i make that can be used as a bug repellent PLUS an salve that will relief the itch, redness, swollen bumps, and to recover the little boo boos faster?? From there, I researched, tested, and learned so much about Chinese herbs, western apothecary, making infused herbs, oils, essential oils... I build on the basic ideas of making salves and balms with the new knowledge, and most importantly, making a product that is 100% natural, healthy and safe for my family. There are many success stories I can share with you from Day 1. Just most recently, it helped Mason's teacher's arm from a minor burn to recovery (see picture). As of today, Boo Boo Stick remains a top seller at Chloemason's online shop and booth sales. I highly recommend it because my family can't live without it. https://www.chloemasonsoapcompany.com/store/p6/Nature%27s_Bug_Repellent_%26_Boo_Boo_Stick_%28Regular_0.5_oz%29.html https://www.chloemasonsoapcompany.com/store/p7/Nature%27s_Bug_Repellent_%26_Boo_Boo_Stick_%28Giant_2_oz%29.html |
